Comment: It is interesting to note that they are all, (AP Charles, SF Charles, Mrs Morgan, Mrs Mansfield) brothers / sisters and Mrs JH Charles is their sister-in-law

No. 12376 R.B. Hoare 1884.3 - 1889.2 Robert Basil Hoare, son of R.G. Hoare, Esq., Jesmond Deane, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Started at Harrow September 1884 and left Mids 1889. Cricket XI 1888-9, Football XI 1888-9, ( Mr Hoare seemed not only to
excell in football but was also a mean cricketer considering his historic 108 n.o. in the 1888 Harrow vs. Eton match.) Went to Trinity College, Cambridge. Became a banker. (Private Collection, The Netherlands)

Just in case anyone enquires, in my gt gt gt grandmother's album there is a Harrow Eleven photo of Percy Crutchley, dated 1873. He was from
Sunninghill, Berks, if anyone is descended from him and searching for a pic.

At Harrow from May 1870. He was in the cricket XI 1873-4;
went to Trinity Coll. Cambridge, B.A. 1878,
was a C.U. tennis player (singles and doubles) 1876,
J.P. and C.C. for Berks.
Address in 1894 Sunninghill Lodge, Ascot.
[Oddly he was photographed via the H. & S. Eton branch - after a match there perhaps.]

Goshawk Photographer, Harrow.
The school photographer from the 1860s was Goshawk on the corner of West Street and High Street, Harrow. When Goshawk died in 1872 the job went to Hills & Saunders. Here are a few schoolboys and people from the town in the 1860s and early 1870s taken by Goshawk.
